Time: 21:00 Oded Ronen: Imagery in Motion
Oded trained as a dancer at The Laban Center, Bodyworks and The Rambert School of ballet and contemporary dance (UK), before dancing for Dimitris Papaioannou (Greece), CeDeCe Dance Company (Portugal), Kolben Dance Company and Fresco Dance Company (Israel) as well as for projects by Ana Lujan Sanchez (UK) and Elena Christodoulidou (Cyprus).
Imagery in Motion (I.M) is a choreography and performance practice based on specific imagery, which is used for a deeper understanding of the movement possibilities of the body. The images are crafted to bridge between the worlds of imagination and physics. Animalistic and directed, the method offers artists the opportunity to replace standard dance terms and ideas with playful investigative fantasies.
Time: 21:30 – 23:00: Big Band Brothers
The Big Band Brothers, a 17-piece big band, has been around since 2005. The band is the brainchild of percussionist/singer Daniel Cauchi, the driving force behind this fun and energetic musical outfit.
Since its inception, the band has maintained a steadfast commitment to producing good
music while pushing its boundaries through different creative projects. The Big Band Brothers target new and more challenging opportunities, striving to improve in all aspects of performance.
The band’s performances and antics on stage are born of the collective wish to have
fun playing and making music. So while the band’s performances are musically in
earnest, the band seeks to enjoy the performance itself which results in performances
which are both musically intense and entertaining to watch.
